Anthony Body Essentials Shower Gel in Spirit

This review of Anthony Body Essentials Shower Gel in Spirit comes courtesy of our resident Daily Makeover IT dude Michael (who's actually a college senior).  In Michael's words:

After my weekend at home filled with non-stop studying, essay-writing, and caffeine I managed to schedule a shower. Since my overall hygiene decreased drastically, I felt it would be a great opportunity to try out the new products you have given me.

The  Anthony Logistics Body Essentials Shower Gel in Spirit--Green Spice ($17 at Duane Reade) was the first contestant, its small size and awkward coloring didn’t give the best first impression since I felt like I would need to buy this size bottle on more frequent occasions than my 5lb tub of old spice. Putting that aside since I did not pay for it and had no emotional attachment to the product I continued on my test with as open of a mind as possible.

The most notable feature of the product is by far its smell, simply sniffing it from the bottle does not do it justice. Once you work it into a lather it smells like Brut and Aqua Velva had a baby born in a patch of mint leaves. My elongated nose was engulfed in the essence produced by this product transforming my otherwise bland bathroom into a Pine Forest of Man Glory. The profound effects the smell this product had on me this weekend may be due in part by it’s chemical formula and selection of ingredients or I really just appreciated the 180 degree change of my “before” to “after” odor.

Review: 4 out of 5 stars

Thank you, Michael, for your colorful review! My favorite part is the scent you described as "Brut and Aqua Velva having a baby born in a patch of mint leaves."
