Major, epic news! That involves a storm of exclamation points, evidently. I've accepted a position... not at yet another baby-steps-closer-to-what-I-want-to-be-when-I-grow-up financial gig... but as the new Senior Beauty Editor at Daily Makeover. SQUEAL!!!

My feelings about achieving this lifelong goal can be only analogized to those of The Princess Bride's Inigo Montoya after he finally killed the six-fingered man. You remember the scene:

I'll be working under Rachel Hayes (remember I told you I have her autograph?). AND, I will still be able to write BBJ, so stick around! I also want to THANK YOU, dear readers, for motivating me to write about what I know and participating in my forum where I like to discuss sometimes obscure topics ranging from The Enchantment Under The Sea Dance to My So-called Life. The more I feel I have an audience (again, that's you), the more I'm compelled to do what I love--which is writing about beauty. And now, I'm even going to be able to make a LIVING from it. Three and a half years of doing this on my own has led to an invitation to join an industry in which I so desperately belonged for years, though I had no rightful claim to it. No pedigree. I'm amazed and frankly, psyched that this blog that I started as a distraction from my boring job has led to a career.

So again, thank you to everyone who read, commented, and kept up with my shameless abbreves and pop culture refs thus far.
